Pop Rock artist Gordy Garris was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. At an early age he began singing and playing the guitar. As a teenager, Garris taught himself the piano and began composing music at age 16. Songwriting was always a great emotional reprieve for Garris, as he amassed hundreds of original songs by age 20. In 2017 he released his latest album, "Never Give Up."
An avid songwriter with performances around the United States in cities like Los Angeles, Nashville, Detroit and Chicago, Garris continues to make his mark. Garris released "Disappear" as the first track off of his upcoming 2021 studio album entitled, "Legacy."
Penning his songs of love and loss, Indie Trail Mix gives praise to his latest work as a "First class songsmith." The Review Magazine of Saginaw, Michigan proclaims "Pop-rocker Gordy Garris established himself firmly as a singer with a gift for writing “hooks.”
Issue 848 - The Review Magazine on "Never Give Up" "His singing is powerful. His tenor is strong. His writing is accomplished. He was able to build lyrical castles in each moment of this incredible song cycle. Garris is on his way up!"
